The 86th National Sports Festival saw its first world record set in archery, as Choi Won-jong shot a perfect 120 in the men’s semifinals of the club-division individual competition in Ulsan, Tuesday.
Choi, 27, made the unprecedented 12 consecutive
shots in the bull’s eye, one point ahead of the old record made by
another South Korean Park Kyung-mo in 1993. He stretched his rally to
outshoot Kim Chung-tae 111-99 in the final to clinch a gold medal.Read more here.
